NZ Chapter – GATHER & GROW 2024 – Professional Development and Networking Day

Join fellow members for an incredible day of professional development and networking on Wednesday 28 August. This special event will be held at Auckland Grammar School and has something for everyone. The start/end times are tailored for members to be able to travel for the day from out-of-town places, without needing accommodation. This event is priced to be highly affordable and offers discounts so all members and non-members in your teams can attend!

Participants will have the option to choose 2 X 35 min sessions from the following options. These will be interactive sessions with the facilitator introducing the topic, highlighting some key points and then opening up to the group for discussion. Hear from your peers on the topic.

Note: We will be sending out a survey to registered delegates to get their input on discussions points they wish to explore in these sessions.

2:50pm – Learning Session 4 – Educate Plus Salary Survey and Careers in Advancement

Do you want to know how your role compares to others working in educational Advancement? Mandy will share the findings and emerging trends from the Educate Plus 2023/2024 Salaries and Conditions survey, specific to New Zealand. She’ll highlight remuneration curves providing relevant insights for a number of job roles across the Advancement sector. She’ll also touch on Advancement team size and structure, employee benefits and Professional Development practices.

3.30pm – Session 5 – Auckland Grammar School Tour

Take a tour and experience Auckland Grammar School’s 150th Capital Project – Te Ara, the newly unveiled library and pool complex, which opened in Term 1, 2024, following a remarkable $16 million fundraising campaign.

The state-of-the-art library provides exceptional educational facilities, offering a wealth of resources to support current and future students. Additionally, the purpose-built swimming and water polo facility is a fantastic addition to the School’s campus.
