We do our own survey each year, but every four or five years do a larger scale, externally managed survey. We are working with MMG who do many schools’ surveys, and have lots of benchmarking data.
We’re literally in the process right now, and it’s my first time working with them, but it’s been a smooth process so far.Pip LapelmsForum ParticipantHi – we have the same issue. Many groups across the College want their own social media channels. I’m not keen on it, and my response is generally no, but to flood us with content and if we find we have too much that it’s making our feed unbalanced then we can talk about it.
That hasn’t happened yet….Pip LapelmsForum ParticipantAt this stage we don’t intend to bring everything across at once. We will load the last couple of years and then assess how much we might need to keep, and what additional level of storage might be required.
Pip LapelmsForum ParticipantHi Mandy
Quite funny you should ask – the notification email I received for this post popped up while I was on an implementation call with Pixevety. We’re just starting to implement – have uploaded headshots, synced permissions and that part is working well. We’re just working through our folder structure and are about to pilot it with a small group of staff, before rolling it out to all staff, and then parents.
So far, so good! We’ve been very happy, it’s very intuitive and the support has been excellent.
Happy to answer any questions you have

This consent is Opt In not Opt out. It does mean we have a delay at the beginning of the year when parents have not yet completed the form, but we are working on that process, and helping to educate families about the benefits, and what it means for them if they choose not to opt in.
We have just implemented Pixevety which syncs with those permissions and helps us manage publication of images. We also follow up directly and seek specific permission to use photos in large scale advertising campaigns, to be sure families are comfortable.
Pip LapelmsForum ParticipantIt has recently come back to sit with me in Marketing and Comms as well.
Having said that, my principal was clear it was a coordinating responsibility, and various areas still manage their own timetabling for photos etc.
I manage the relationship with the photographer, set the overall school photo days and the Director Operations/Co-Curricular manages cc lists, and Junior and Secondary schools manage the rest.It is a decent time commitment I must admit… but there is no obvious place within our school structure for it to sit, so it has bounced around a bit.
Pip LapelmsForum ParticipantWe are a bit the same as Stephen above.
We collect consent for photography during the onboarding process and again each year. In that, we explain that photographs are taken and used for internal purposes, but that they can opt out of any external publication of said photos (This is collected through Consent2Go, and connected to Synergetic). We are in the process of implementing Pixevety as used by a previous poster, and while we won’t collect consent from parents there (trying to keep consent in a single place) consent will sync across from Synergetic allowing us to manage that.
We occasionally have one or two students whose parents object to any kind of imagery being shared, even in the yearbook, and we handle that by exception – we don’t provide every family the opportunity to opt out of photos for internal use.Pip LapelmsForum ParticipantWe are also looking into doing this – and use Funnel and Synergetic as our main systems. Can I ask for those who use Docusign – what the approximate annual cost is?
