Hi David, following this post as I am also interested to see how others have managed this. We are also looking to change our funding model for our alumni organisation. Our issues are that if we change to charge at enrolment, then there is a delay with when the association can actually receive the funds (once students have graduated). We were looking to charge in the final year as an option as well as it means they can receive the fees earlier, but I know it means not all students will be members. How has this worked for you? Our alumni association is also separately incorporated.

Hi Nerys, we started this journey a few years ago and I narrowed my options down to Toucantech and Graduway. I preferred Toucantech because the contact was based in Australia (and she was very knowledgeable) as opposed to Graduway which is an American database. Both had very similar capabilities and looked to be easy to use. Feel free to contact me if you want to chat through anything, but I recommend getting in touch with Toucantech in the first instance for sure.

Pembroke’s Old Scholars Association use the School’s logo with Old Scholars underneath it. I think old scholars do recognise the School’s logo and this ensures that every time that logo is used, it looks to be officially supported by the School.
