Looking to hear what other schools do, with regard to identifying their Ex-Student Association. e.g. Do you use your school Crest and Associations name together or have you created something else that can still be identified by your alumni?
Riverview uses a variation of logos for the school

And the Alumni

Thank you Geoff, how long have these logos been apart of your community? Do you find they are now identifiable by all relevant groups?
PLC Sydney has an Ex-Student Union logo and a College crest, however we are currently exploring moving ex-students to something more closely related to the College as our research has shown that ex-students don’t recognise the ESU logo at all (or only ex-students over a certain age do). A slow process but happy to share more information if it’s helpful.
Pembroke’s Old Scholars Association use the School’s logo with Old Scholars underneath it. I think old scholars do recognise the School’s logo and this ensures that every time that logo is used, it looks to be officially supported by the School.
Ipswich Grammar Old Boys Association also use the school’s crest with IGSOBA above the logo. The OBA is supported by the school and is recognised by all generations due to the use of school’s crest.
Thank you all for your feedback and food for thought. Yes my concern is losing our Alumni if we change it dramatically.
