Hi Alex – a year ago we were investigating My School Connect – as they offer a Volunteer Module. The rostering functionality looked good, but when we last enquired it didn’t support WWCC documentation, however if we had decided to move forward with this the team were happy to discuss our needs and develop this as required. They were also very prompt with their responses to my enquiries. We are using My School Connect in our canteen and it is working well. I was told the volunteer module is free if you already have the product. My School Connect also offers option for uniform sales and event management.
Our situation re volunteering has changed so at this stage we haven’t gone any further with the product.

    regards

    Jenny

Sounds like a good way of managing this Wendy – keeping a level of transparency. I’m sure this area will continue to be a changing landscape for sometime to come.

I would love to see your finish product if you would be happy to share – jbaldwin@shckyneton.catholic.edu.au

Thanks so much for starting this thread and getting me thinking :)

What a fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing. I think this would be really useful on a school level, particularly for things like the uniform brochure.
I found the following on an Australian Arts Law website – which might provide some helpful guidance:
“AI does not have any rights under copyright law and therefore there is no legal obligation to indicate that AI was used to generate the work. But you might still want to indicate that AI was used to help create a work to be transparent with your audience. “Transparency and explainability” is one of “Australia’s AI Ethics Principles” developed by the Australian Government as part of ‘Australia’s Artificial Intelligence Ethics Framework’. These principles are not legally binding, but helpful guidance on best practice when working with AI.”
