Hi Mike,
We use Humanitix booking system which is brilliant and has great support.
They have a section called Permissions which allows you to control what the parent can access eg Event details (date, time etc), Attendee names but can prevent them from viewing the personal booking information (emails, phone numbers etc) of other parents. You might need to ask Trybooking if they offer this type of option. Otherwise, I’d recommend moving to Humanitix.

KateKate DaffyForum ParticipantHi Alex,
I posted about this earlier in the year. The system I am investigating is Involve as it has data security based in Australia, has the functionality and is relatively cheap. We haven’t used it yet, but I’m hopeful it will assist in managing not only parent volunteers but also any volunteers to the school.

Kate DaffyForum ParticipantIf we have important guests we use the plastic covers with pins and ask the person to return the tag at the end of the event to reuse. Our school invests and prints proper name badges for parents and we encourage them to wear them at event. Having said that, we always print labels onto the paper as parents forget their badges! We have the same issues with the paper versions falling off certain fabrics! Sounds like the fabric name tags are the way to go if you have the budget.
Kate DaffyForum ParticipantHi Stephen,
I currently look after this at Camberwell Girls Grammar School and I am the Community Engagement Manager. We usually only hire to external school holiday providers and we go through a rigorous risk management review before allowing anyone to hire from us. We include a cleaning fee as part of the hire to cover the costs of our cleaners. We have not yet experienced any damage at this stage and have hired out our computer lab. We don’t do long term hires and only offer our spaces during school holiday periods if it doesn’t conflict with school use of facilities. Your question regarding hire rates is an interesting one. I’ve reviewed other schools close by to see how much they hire out their spaces and make a judgement based on the similarity of the facilities. Happy to talk more as well, my email is daffyk@cggs.vic.edu.au
Cheers, KateKate DaffyForum ParticipantThanks so much for your prompt responses, it is much appreciated.
