Hi Catherine, we don’t offer any alumni discount, but waitlisted families are prioritised. Kind regards, Franceen
Franceen ChallonsForum ParticipantHi Alice,
We consider short term individual study experiences(not group tours at this stage but have in the past).
Students are required to complete all application paperwork and provide school reports, but we do not require an AEAS for short term experiences.
We interview each student via Zoom to ensure they have a level of English which will allow for them to participate in classes for this period.
Kind regards,
Franceen (ELTHAM College Vic)Franceen ChallonsForum ParticipantHi Ilse,
We don’t accept an application without two signatures unless there is a court order specifically stating that one parent has all the rights for decision-making regarding the student’s education or one parent has sole custodianship or if the other parent is deceased. We have recently had a case where both parents were happy with the children coming to the College, but the father would not sign as he did not want to be legally responsible for fees. We had our lawyers draft a document whereby one parent is signing a binding agreement to state they are solely responsible for all fees and the father must sign the application and acceptance forms to say he agrees with the child attending the College, but the binding agreement stipulates that he will not be jointly and severally liable for fees.
I attended an Educate PLUS webinar in 2021 and the video is in the Educate PLUS Knowledgebank to view “Admissions SIG Admissions And The Law | 29 July 2021”. You might find this useful :)
Regards,
FranceenFranceen ChallonsForum ParticipantWe are in the process of rolling out Funnel. It has been valuable in managing events, sending out post event comms and capturing lead information, but we are still exploring its full functionality across the admissions pipeline. There are still several areas in movement throughout the pipeline which rely on manual changes/updates and we have issues with creation of duplicate leads when parents might register for events or complete application forms with different names (e.g. Mike instead of Michael) and although all other details (email/phone number) match, the system will create another lead, which then has to be merged – which is messy and time-consuming.
