We had our 50th in 2022
    – Service was cancelled due to COVID, but we did a cake (for staff- cooked by Boarding kitchen) and ordered cupcakes for all the kids
    – Worked with archives to do stories from the past – one post per week
    – we did do a book (expensive exercise and did not sell)
    – Black tie dinner and fundraiser – was a great night- limited to 200 people, tickets were around the $150 mark and it was a mix of current parents, current/past staff and past students. We auctioned art items on the night and had a raffle with coasters with a design created by the students as the raffle tickets (so tickets were $25, or $100 for 4 and they got to keep the raffle ticket). Some of the funds from the raffle were used as a cash prize. The coasters were numbered as well (ie their ticket number for the raffle).
    – held a community fiesta – which was a nod to our old School fetes. Great day attended by lots of current and past community
    – launched our first online giving day
    – did pins we have done these for all significant anniversaries and they are really well received
    – produced ‘bumper stickers’ these were actually circle stickers with the 50th logo that we gave to all current families with the idea of putting on car- they were well received but not all put on cars
    – did anniversary wine- not success we have heaps left
    – did coffee cups well received but we ordered too many (we did sell them more than they cost, but just did not sell enough).

Good luck- it is a great opportunity to engage with alumni and build school spirit

    Hi LIz
Interested to hear what other Associations do as well. Current fee is $150, lifetime fee. Was charged with Year 10, Term 3 fee (itemised and parents could opt out). HOwever, they changed this year to be in Year 7, and put the charge on Term 1 fee. Mixed reaction from community (could still opt out). Remained $150.
Same as comment above, the Association contributes to Scholarship fund each year, but we provide administration and personnel support (including for the reunions).

HI Renia, Yes all the documents uploaded in EnrolHQ flow through to DOCMAN- you complete a Sync, export a HTML file from EnrolHQ which you then import into Synergetic and then is prepopulates all the fields, so you just do a quick check and click next as you create the new future student! We did pay extra for the Sync, but it is so worth it. Any documents they upload with their application also appear in DOCMAN as does the actual application as well. It will also do the check as it creates to the new future student so you will see if they are already in your system as an enquiry and can use that profile.. Thanks

    HI Renia,
We use Synergetic, and have rolled out ENROLHQ specifically for online enrolments and we have this set up to sync with Synergetic, so data flows in. They have quite a good dashboard, which provides good information and we also use this for events and will soon transition to online Offer/Acceptance contracts. We have not utilised the email provision with this system yet either, but I believe it has this capability too.
    Thanks Clare- Bunbury Grammar

Hi, we have just edited our online payment portal (where our families pay fees etc) to include a
‘what are you paying today’, drop down menu
If you they click donation, they are then offered to select which fund they wish to make a donation to. The money then goes directly to the School account and finance knows what it is for, and we just get a copy of the receipt so we can send the thank you letter. Clare

We have also commenced having the reunions on campus. We booked a bus to take them back into town (we are located just out of Bunbury) so they were encouraged to leave :) We also held it on a weekend as well and had staff and our Alumni committee run and attend the event. The Students loved coming back and seeing the School. We are planning to continue this moving forward.
