Hi all, we have a Late Withdrawal Fee ($650.00) which is charged when a full term’s notice is not provided. I have heard that if the charge is specifically noted to cover costs of leaving (administration etc), it may not be enforceable as it is regarded as cost recovery rather than a standalone fee. The school also needs to ensure they give families adequate advice of fee increases so that families can withdraw with more than a term’s notice for financial reasons and not be in breach of contract.
