ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a Director of Admissions to develop and execute the student enrolment strategy at Scotch College. With a strong understanding of the independent school sector and a commitment to boys’ education, the Director will drive strategic planning, marketing, enrolment management and stakeholder engagement to attract high-calibre applicants and maintain full enrolment of both day and boarding students. Central to shaping the student body, this role ensures that every aspect of the admissions process upholds the history, mission, and values of Scotch College, enrolling students who will thrive academically and contribute meaningfully to all aspects of School life.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Values of excellence, respect, responsibility and reverence
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, marked by integrity, diplomacy and compassion
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people, including families and students (prospective and enrolled), colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in similar admissions, enrolment management, or related role within an educational setting
  • Excellent team management and leadership capabilities
  • High-level IT skills including experience admissions software and CRM systems
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
  • Understanding of the history, values and mission of Scotch College, including the school academic, co-curricular and pastoral programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to values of confidentiality, trust and honesty
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business, Marketing or related discipline
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
  • Current Employee Working with Children check or VIT
