This Foundation is part of a vibrant coeducational school that supports students through their journey from preschool through secondary school and prepares them for life after school. The Foundation is experiencing an exciting time of growth and has investment to raise important funds that support multiple education focused initiatives that include scholarships, community programs, experiential learning and leadership programs, and future campaign initiatives in development.

Reporting to the Director of Development, you will be supported in your role to steward donors on their individual journeys to give, and you will have the opportunity to build flourishing relationships with a community of engaged parents, alumni, community groups and committees to gain growing support.

We are searching for someone who has a personal approach to relationship management, who can manage the full cycle of each donor’s journey from prospect research through to commitment of support for initiatives that will make an impact on the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

* In partnership with the Director of Development, project manage the full cycle of the donor journey from prospect scoping and initial research, through to gaining fundraising commitment and facilitating tailored donor recognition programs
* Develop personal relationships with alumni, parents, families, committee groups and the community to identify their reason for giving and to develop their support across current and future educational projects
* Assist to launch, manage and grow the School’s Bequest Program, including development and implementation of strategies for engagement, identifying, cultivating, and approaching potential bequestors, and recognition of donors wishing to leave a legacy in their will
* Work closely with the marketing team to develop donor engagement material and communications for donor campaigns
* Build impactful working relationships across the Foundation and school to unlock large-scale opportunities for philanthropic support
* Review donor data to make informed decisions
* Ensure that donors are engaged and inspired about their contributions and that all obligations to donors are fulfilled
* Provide a high-touch commitment to every donor throughout the development of their engagement and donor journey

Skills and Experience

* Proven success and experience in a high-touch relationship development position, working closely with stakeholders to meet mutually beneficial outcomes
* Success achieving results through strengths in relationship building, stakeholder management, and the ability to make data informed decisions
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in order to effectively communicate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and to create and update comprehensive donor data records
* Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, review and achieve project goals and objectives
* The ability to review and understand data to make informed decisions
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated capacity to work internal and internal stakeholders at all levels
* A genuine interest to make significant impact across education focused programs that enrich the lives of students
