Yes, currently these collections sit within our admissions team. Typically paid most attention to the August census as it is significant for funding, and you’ve got to ensure more information is correct (NCCD, etc). As for how long it takes, the others are relatively straightforward pulls from your SIS and take less than a day to compile and submit (adding time for leadership to declare). While the August (Non-Government schools) one should be a fairly straightforward pull, too. My experience is that it’s all relative to how solid your attendance marking is and whether you’ve been audited before. You also have to submit special circumstances applications, which can take a little while to gather supporting evidence for. Likewise, this is all relative to how will your school documents interactions with students who may be school refusing, and holidays, etc. A handy move with this one is to communicate well in advance to staff so they can work with kids to make sure they’re present during the census reference period.
Would whoever handled them before in your school be able to give you an idea of the time commitment?
