We switched from Year 12 to enrolment 3 years ago. Previously it was an opt-out in Year 12. While we didn’t have many opting out, our alumni membership records had times when some alumnae received membership for free and others required payment. We decided to mark all alumni as members when we proceeded with the new system. We also increased alumni engagement with our younger alumni – alumni support events and initiatives to demonstrate the benefits of joining on enrolment. This has assisted in budgeting for the alumni committee with a reliable membership income and greater exposure to the students while they are at the College.
