Hi Joel, if you’re specifically asking about the school’s official page – we have had students ask before and have said no. We have students without media permissions and don’t believe it’s appropriate for other students to have that kind of information about their peers. We also consider social media to be huge marketing tool and something we take seriously, so our preference is for our team to run this.
On the other hand, the last school I worked at had a specific music page for the school which was run by the student music captains similar to what Erin has described. It was fortunate that these were mature students and there were no issues however it’s not something I would consider doing again.
