We recently upgraded from a 6D MkII to a Sony A7IV for a main photo camera and a Sony A7SIII rig for our video work. Lens packages include 24-105/f4 for run and gun general video, 16-35/f2.8 for interiors and facility shots, and a 70-200/f2.8 as our main event lens.
The idea was that the Sony A7IV would be our b-camera on significant interview shoots.
For $5k, I could recommend the A7IV with a 24-105/f4 (we’ve always found that extra range handy in a pinch) as a great hybrid photo/video package.
