Educate Plus

WA Chapter Tertiary SIG

Join us for a morning of connection with peers across the advancement practice in the tertiary sector as we delve into the pressing issues shaping our field.

In February of this year, Federal Education Minister Jason Clare released the highly-anticipated Universities Accord final report, heralding it as a “blueprint” set to transform higher education for decades to come. With substantial changes on the horizon for higher education in Australia, it’s crucial for Advancement professionals to remain adaptable, supporting the goal of increasing the proportion of university-educated Australians aged 25 to 34 from 45% to 55% by 2050.

This Special Interest Group (SIG) offers an opportunity to reflect and learn from one another about the key considerations facing our field in light of this imperative. From collegiate teams to institutional professionals, the morning promises invaluable connections and the sharing of collective wisdom.

We are delighted to have Prof. James Arvanitakis, Director of The Forrest Research Foundation, deliver a special welcome. The foundation collaborates with all five WA Universities to attract the brightest minds to the state, fostering world-changing, high-quality research.

Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend.
