NSW/ACT Chapter Regional Professional Development Day; Leadership: without Authority from Values
Join your fellow NSW/ACT Chapter Regional Colleagues for this day of Professional Development.
Hear from Robyn Edwards as she talks about purpose led, values based leadership.
Leadership: without Authority from Values.
In a time when formal titles carry less weight than ever, true leadership emerges from values, not hierarchy. This session explores what leadership really means — beyond position or authority — and how it shows up in practice. Together, we’ll unpack the most effective behaviours and mindsets that define meaningful leadership today. We’ll also dive into what it looks like to live the values of your school in everyday moments — and how aligning your personal values with your school’s mission can unlock deeper fulfilment, trust, and influence. Whether you’re leading a team, a project, or quiet cultural change, this session will offer practical tools and powerful reflection to help you lead with clarity, authenticity, and purpose.
During the session we will be exploring:
1. the practice of leadership; what it is and what it is not and the practices have the greatest effectiveness
2. Leading from values; living the values of the school in everyday practice and aligning your values to these for greater fulfilment
