Make a holiday out of it…

Here is a taster of some tour packages from Business World Travel. For more details, contact Tanya Twarman@bwt.co.nz who can expertly customise your holiday on any budget.

Tour package 1

7 day self-drive tour taking in the scenery of the South Island..

The Tour starts in Blenheim, (top of the South Island) where you can fly directly from Auckland to Wellington. Spend a couple of nights and catch the ferry to Picton where you can collect your car. Travel down to Kaikoura to see the Whales, then continue onto Christchurch (if time allows you can do a detour to Hamner Springs). While in Christchurch you might like to drive out to Akaroa, a French and British settlement on the Coast with an abundance or marine life to see. You will depart Christchurch travelling via Lake Tekapo before heading to Mt Cook. This is a lovely base to do some local walks in the National Park. From here you can head over the Lindis pass into Central Otago. Your base for the next few nights will be Queenstown. From here you can do some wonderful day trips that include The Milford Sounds, Wanaka and then to Franz Joseph Glacier, Glenorchy, to see the dramatic scenery from the Lord of the Rings or book some of the many adventures Queenstown has to offer.

Tour package 2

Waiheke Island……

There’s a reason Waiheke Island was named one of the world’s top 10 regions to visit in the Lonely Planet’s Best in 2016 Travel Guide. Waiheke is a picturesque blend of vineyards and olive groves, beaches, farmland and forest. It’s only 35 mins on a ferry from Auckland. Visits to vineyards, art studios and cafes will keep you busy, or you could simply find a perfect beach and make relaxation your top priority. There’s a good choice of accommodation – from luxury retreats to backpacker hostels. Transport options include bus, taxi, rental car, scooter or bike.

Tour package 3

Napier Cycling Tours

Fly from Auckland to Napier or it’s a 5 hour drive from Auckland. The combination of fantastic weather, cycle-friendly terrain, stunning scenery and established food and wine experiences make Hawke’s Bay an ideal destination. It has also become the Art Deco Capital of New Zealand. Because Napier is mostly flat it’s a great place to explore on bike. There are three different cycling experiences to enjoy on your trip; The Water Ride, The Landscape Ride and The Wineries Ride.
