About the opportunity

It’s a great time to be part of the imageseven team. We’re in the midst of growth with plenty of exciting projects on the go. To support us in our next phase, we are inviting Expressions of Interest for an upcoming opportunity as Director of Advancement — a key leadership position embedded within one of Victoria’s leading independent schools.
As an embedded team member, you’ll be part of imageseven’s internal crew, working closely with the school’s Principal, leadership team, and imageseven’s national specialists to lead and deliver the full Advancement portfolio — encompassing marketing, communications, enrolments, and alumni engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing strategic leadership across all areas of marketing, communications, enrolment and alumni relations.
Leading and mentoring both school-based and imageseven-embedded team members.
Developing and implementing integrated marketing and advancement strategies aligned with school and sector objectives.
Overseeing brand positioning, messaging and stakeholder experience across all channels.
Managing campaign performance, budgets and reporting to achieve measurable results.
Partnering with senior leadership to align marketing and engagement initiatives with enrolment and retention goals.
Leading crisis and reputation management planning when required.
This position is ideal for a confident, collaborative leader who thrives in dynamic education environments and enjoys combining strategy with hands-on delivery.

About you

We are seeking an exceptional communicator and people leader who can bring both vision and structure to a busy Advancement office. You will have:

A minimum of eight years’ experience in marketing, communications or advancement — ideally within education or an agency environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and projects.
Strong understanding of enrolment, engagement and stakeholder strategies.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with confidence representing both the school and imageseven.
Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, solution-focused approach.
Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related field.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
