Hi Fiona, we hold 1 reunion each year for Scotch Oakburn College – we call it a Milestone Years Reunion and covers 10-15-20-25-30-35-40 years since they left College. This evolved to reduce the number of events, more guests at a single event rather than multiple smaller ones, less events for Principal/leadership to attend.
There was initial resistance as they didn’t want to mix or felt they had limited connection with other year levels. However, we have found numbers have increased and Collegians are pleasantly surprised at how many people they know, family connections, parent/children/cousins etc. Launceston is also a smaller city so there are work and other social connections which they may not have been aware of.
