What kind of AI policies and guardrails do you have at your school? I think different levels of knowledge of AI also plays a factor in this. Teachers and staff with better comprehension of AI may responsibly generate good AI content, but may also indirectly encourage those with less knowledge of AI to play around with it irresponsibly. If staff is using AI without any guidance you may inadvertently end up with a ton of AI slop or worse.
At our school we have a AI working party and a Digital Strategy team who are helping the school to adopt AI responsibly. This has been helpful not just with setting guidelines for our students and staff but having people we can go to directly if we have any questions about what is okay or raise any concerns regarding to content being generated. I would suggest to work with the AI leaders at your school to ensure Comms is part of any bigger conversation on the topic at your school.
For branding related content, we have our branding guidelines so anytime we see anything that doesn’t adhere to that, we will send the culprit a gentle reminder.
