Always use complex split for these types of arrangements and given they are existing parents this is definitely they way forward.
You will need to chat to IT to ensure the child is also attached to parent lounge of the host family to ensure they can approve excursions etc. Otherwise they won’t receive correspondence in events. A while since I did that but it can be done.
