We have both … and went the opposite way! We started with an enterprise account before education version was available to our school. Our IT team would like us to migrate our enterprise marketing account to the education version, but we are finding it is not as easy as it seems.
I would also love to hear from anyone that has done this successfully (or made a decision to keep them separate and why).
One consideration to combine them is that Canva for Education has single sign on capability, however because our marketing account was created with a shared marketing email, we are stopping the whole school from activating single sign on. (When SSO is turned on it keeps defaulting to our personal accounts and we can’t override it).
From a marketing perspective, one frustration has been that sharing templates and managing workflows has felt clunkier in Canva for Education compared with Enterprise, particularly when it comes to brand control and ease of use for staff.
That said, my understanding is that Canva is continuing to improve Canva for Education in response to school feedback, particularly around branding and governance.
