We send a weekly Need to Know newsletter every Friday at 4pm, which as the name suggests, provides all the information parents need to know for the following week. It also includes an intro from our Principal. This is well received and when parents ask questions, we refer them to this newsletter. Our Admin team collate this newsletter, with all staff having the responsibility of submitting content when they need.
In addition, we send 2 News newsletters each term – week 5 and week 10. These have more of a focus on what has happened at the College – highlighting events, one House and one KLA each edition – all the good things we have been doing. Readership isn’t as good with this format, but we still find it worthwhile. Our Comms team collate this News newsletter, whilst key staff are responsible for submitting content. We often find it difficult to get content from these key staff, chasing up multiple times, with some of the content often falling to the Comms team.
We have recently started using the Schoolzine platform, which has been well received.
