Hi Abbey,

Sorry to hear your school is navigating the Social Media darkside we’re all hopeful to avoid! We are on the same boat – no ‘bad’ post as yet, but looking to mitigate the risk and pivot away from Socials being the daily proof-of-life for families – so it will be interesting to hear what other schools are doing in this space.

Currently, I am dabbling in creating some MarComms-driven SEQTA Portal pages, but I feel like it may become a rod in my back, to maintain. Something like Pixevity is VERY high on my wishlist. We have also just launched a new website that features a news feed that can filter posts according to whatever tags we create – so I imagine part of our future strategy may be to host long-form news/imagery there and share links to articles on FB to draw in traffic. But, it is still early days… overall, I think there is an inclination to pare back the volume of images (in particular) that we publish publicly (even on our site).

Good luck!
