Hi Mandy, we have an alumni Facebook page and a separate School page. We also have an alumni Facebook group, which is more ‘chatty’ in nature, and more about engagement between old scholars rather than promotional like our main page. I find that having the two pages helps because not everyone is interested in the School content if they aren’t a current or past family. Our School content is more about the students and our current curriculum, and I know from our stats that our alumni love the nostalgic content – whereas our current families don’t always engage with it. During our anniversary year, we came up with a content strategy that shared content across both platforms, so our current families had exposure to our historical content. Happy to discuss further offline if you need! While it is more work to manage two pages, the separate pages works for us.
