Hi Owen,
We are currently using Pixevety to manage student image consent and distribution. Our process involves syncing student data and consent records into the platform, uploading event photography directly to Pixevety, and applying permission settings based on individual student profiles before any images are shared.
From a compliance perspective, it provides strong governance around consent tracking, controlled access, and auditability, which has been helpful in managing privacy obligations within a school setting.
That said, it functions more as a controlled image management and distribution platform rather than a deep AI facial recognition tool. It does not automatically scan large external documents such as a full yearbook PDF. Publication outside the platform would still require manual review processes.
It may be worth exploring whether enterprise-level facial recognition APIs (with careful privacy consideration) could complement this, depending on your specific needs and regulatory environment.
Hope this is helpful.
