We use Canto as our DAM and archive, and have configured it to identify images of students without photo permissions. For checking photos held by other departments (such as yearbook images), our process is to upload the image files in bulk so they can all be checked against the student photos, and then advise the team who need to gain specific use permission or replace any images without consent. We then delete all but the few images we might want to archive.
