Our School is 135 years old next year and we are asking ourselves the same question. At the moment, we are using photos from our history unless the alumnus or their family requests that we no longer publish. I find it’s very difficult to gain retrospective consent.
Sorry this isn’t very helpful but I’m interested in hearing what other schools are doing in this space.
