Thanks Catth -our legal team has made it more complicated than that for us I’m afraid -haha – They have insisted that we explain two levels of biometric data collection – the first one is when we upload a photo to pixevety even before the platform identifies the student – at that point, the platform is already collecting biometric information in the form of identifying that it is a ‘face’ – then, the next level is the facial recognition process where the platform matches that face to the student – we have been told that we need to inform parents of both stages so that they give informed consent for both the upload of the image itself and then also the next step, which is matching that image to an uploaded face template. We’re trying to make it sound as simple as possible.
