I have been using a Canon EOS 90D for the last two years (and an older model for the four years before that). It honestly works perfectly, particularly with the colour treatment. Great video capabilities, event photography and sport photography.
I also just got the basic lens it comes with (18-135mm) and i have not needed anything else. Its a great all rounder.
Its a little heavy I guess if you are used to the small point and shoot, but same weight as the above recommended Sony. Which is also a great option.
