I managed a “Donate a Chapel Chair” with remembrance plaques for names of families or loved ones which has worked very well.
It was a simple campaign at an affordable $250 for the chair and plaque.
The gift was made online, and I kept all records of names for plaques on a spread sheet.
Correspondence with the donor is key to acknowledge the donation and get correct wording/spelling for the plaque.
I advertised with a flyer to our community via our College app and through parent and Alumni electronic newsletters.
I think your $500 named seat is a good price point. Good luck with your campaign.
