Hi Julia, We interview every family that we are considering offering a place to (including those with children already attending the school). It is a way we can communicate school culture and expectations, identify and un-disclosed disabilities and discuss adjustments required for disclosed disabilities. The interviews also allow me to gain an insight into the family dynamic (it’s important that the children want to attend our school).
I would view not conducting an interview as introducing risk into the process.
