For our school (in the NT) when the results are released, it also lists whether the student gives permission for their details to be shared in the media.
Thankfully our highfliers have given permission. However, if it did happen that they hadn’t given permission, may I suggest calling the student and/or family to gain permission.
I can imagine the frustration if you have someone who has done really well, and you’re unable to promote that. Good luck.
