I find the professional photos/videos generally have a 3 year life span anyway.
Unless the student left the school for a negative reason, I would personally still use the images/videos for around 3 years.
I also help alleviate this problem by taking some ‘stock footage’ when I photograph for social media. Just yesterday I photographed a science experiment, and so I took some quick footage of the students at the same time. Slowly and naturally building up your video library can be so valuable, even if its not as high quality as a videographer. The more you have, the more options you have.
