Hi Zareena and All, thank you for being so generous with your sharing. ELTHAM College is moving away from an individual reunion model where we would facilitate or host Reunions for our 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 year cohorts, to the following:
– 1 Year Reunion our Alumni Association is now responsible for organising this reunion as an opportunity to engage with newer graduates and generate membership and interest in joining the Committee
– 5 Year Reunion is self managed, if someone from the cohort wants to organise it and we provide a minor subsidy for cost
– 10 Year Reunion – standalone event organised by the College to re-engage them at a time when they are establishing their careers/lives etc
– 20, 30, 40 is going to be a combined Reunion evening where we will bring them together at one venue to hear from the Principal and other Execs and then we will break them out into their own spaces
This approach is off the back of trialling a Reunion Day last year for 10, 20, 30 and 40 years together which was nice, but daytime/afternooon format didn’t work and the 10 years really expressed they wanted their own opportunity.
Cheers, Bronwyn
