ELTHAM College is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary this year and we have created a program of what we are calling anchor events throughout the year and then also encouraging our staff to leverage the 50th and have it permeate across the College in existing initiatives and classroom activities. Our anchor events include:
– Whole of school photo in Term 1, spelling out 50 on our oval – we also invited Alumni and past staff to particpate in this and hosted them on the morning it took place with a small morning tea
– ‘Celebrating History’ lunch in Term 2, inviting our College Founders, significant historical family members, notable alumni and past staff. We have over 90 people coming to this.
– Gala Dinner in Term 3 at a venue in the city, night of nights, ticketed event, celebrating our history. Has entertainment etc and all of our community is invited to purchase tickets.
– Community Day on the 30th November, held on campus, fair rides, food trucks, fun kids activities etc and open to all to attend.
