This conversation will explore the realities of working with volunteers in an events setting, from recruitment and briefing through to managing expectations, communication and those inevitable moments when things don’t quite go to plan. 

How much autonomy should volunteers have? How do you navigate difficult conversations when someone is giving their time freely? And how do we make sure volunteers feel genuinely valued without creating more work for already busy teams?
