Hi Danielle,
Thanks so much, it’s such a developing space and I’m interested to hear you’re dealing with the same thing.
I always feel like I’m playing devil’s advocate in terms of this is something we need to take seriously re Meta’s AI training, and the example of Meta’s incident a few weeks ago where it turned all public Instagram profiles to have the ability for people to just take your images without knowledge is an example of what could happen. But often it gets put in the too hard basket or seems too sci-fi to actually be real/taken seriously by others.
But then I turn it on myself, I work in this industry, I’m a parent of young children and I don’t allow their faces to be shown on social so am I just reflecting myself. And then are parents fully informed when they consent to social, and whose job is that to make sure they are? It’s a very murky space atm.
How far through are you with the strategy on what you publish on Meta? Are you heading towards strategic photography/less faces or continue as is?
