Hi Catherine

We have now moved our newsletter to fortnightly. The responsibility to produce it, used to lie with one of my team members, however she moved back to England and her role was not replaced, which means that I now produce the publication myself.

We send it out every 2nd Tuesday during term time and we use MailChimp. The purpose is mainly to highlight events/achievements and celebrations as well as to provide reminders of important dates and activities with links to full details of these on our intranet (Schoolbox). It is one layer of a multi-layered approach to communicating with our families.

It is sent to all current parents, staff members and high school students and it is not published on our website.
We have a consistent opening rate of between 60-65%, which we’re very happy with, given that students are included in that statistic. I haven’t analysed the percentage of opens that are parents compared to staff/students.
