Since taking on the Director role at FCAC, I have introduced a bi-annual newsletter which we send to:
• Current International Students and families
• Incoming International Students and families
• Past International Students and families
• Agents
• Homestay Families
• FCAC Staff

The content is a mix of:
– Reflecting on student activities, excursions, achievements, etc for the past Semester.
– Looking ahead to upcoming opportunities in the Semester
– Sharing information / Reminders (eg phone policy, uniform policy, etc)
– Testimonials from past and present students and parents
– Homestay information

In addition, whenever I travel overseas for marketing purposes, I contact past students to request that they assist in attending education fairs, etc. I also invite them and their families to catch up with me socially.

We also hold an annual alumni event for all Alumni (including international students). This is a casual gathering in Brisbane (we are based in Hervey Bay, Qld) and this has been held the past two years, with plans to continue this. We invite our current long-standing staff (5 years or longer) to attend this event to re-connect with the students as well.
