We work on a dollar percentage of overall fee income (5%) rather than the number of students to be awarded scholarships so the number varies from year to year.
Our Headmaster can then offer more scholarships of a lesser value, or a smaller number of higher value scholarships depending on the application and the family’s need for financial assistance. This has given us the ability to diversify our roll and attract top performers (academic, cultural and sporting) as well as great all-round students who will contribute significantly to the life of the school.
We’re about to undertake a review of how we award scholarships to continuing students, as that is an area we want to improve and give more consideration to.
