Following because we are having starting some similar conversations about how we re-vamp staff comms – such a key part of people feeling connected in a workplace with many staff.

A couple of things that we do that we would certainly retain:
* We have an staff briefing once a week. We used to meet in person but went online during COVID and have remained online as it allows people to connect from wherever they are including our non-teaching staff, such as admin who are needed at their desk first thing in the school day, or bus drivers and grounds staff. It’s called ‘The Morning Show’ has a small team that leads it and includes notices, a weekly staff award, devotions and shouts outs in the chat at the end.

* We also have morning notices via email – mostly plain text. We ask staff not email ‘allstaff’ without approval but to send in items for morning notices.

We are looking at some more dynamic digital options for cyclical notices (eg. upcoming dates and event) but are giving thought to sustainable practices – ensuring we have long term capacity to sustain it.
