We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Community Engagement Program Manager to cultivate strong business relationships across the Ascham community, drive enrolment momentum and support philanthropic outcomes.

Key to this role is the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships across the Ascham community, and ensure events are both engaging experiences; and strategic touchpoints that build trust, pride, and emotional connection. In doing so, they contribute greatly by fuelling word-of-mouth enrolment demand inspiring philanthropic giving and positioning the School as a thriving hub of community and excellence.

The successful candidate will commence on 12 January 2026 (or as negotiated) with the requirement to work throughout the year including term breaks.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of major School events with a focus on originality, inclusivity, and strategic impact
  • Translate stakeholder briefs into compelling experiences that contribute to enrolment and philanthropic goals
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders including key staff, parents, Ascham Foundation and alumni
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams of volunteers, catering staff, facilities staff and vendors to ensure seamless event execution 
  • Lead and mentor event volunteers including parents, alumni and Foundation members and across event planning and delivery
  • Develop and implement targeted promotional strategies that maximise engagement and attendance
  • Manage event budgets with precision and accountability.
  • Establish robust evaluation frameworks to measure post-event impact on belonging, trust, and pride
  • Capture event feedback and insights to continually refine processes and elevate quality year-on-year. 

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in leading large, multi-stakeholder events and programs from concept to completion 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, using a collaborative and inclusive approach
  • A strategic mindset, and ability to find creative and innovative solutions to challenging situations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with others to build and maintain strategic partnerships
  • Proven ability to use community engagement data to inform decision-making and justify investment
  • Experience in managing event budgets and delivering cost effective solutions
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Attention to detail and operational rigour
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite (CoPilot, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC).
