We use a few channels for onboarding – direct comms to the families regarding the transition program, an online webinar and then a face-to-face info evening. I’ve also put all of our documentation for new families in one book, which is given to them at the info evening. It has everything they need – subject information, structure of the day, pastoral care, uniform, transport, key contacts etc – and a series of QR codes for the various forms they need to complete and checklist for day 1. Happy to share it if you’d like. After the info evening, we continue the direct comms with the families, sharing the newsletter and other information to support their first day.
