Kardinia International College is a K-12 non-denominational independent school located in Geelong. With a student enrolment of approximately 2000, our College offers the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) to students in Years K-6, a vertical based curriculum Years 7-10 and both the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) to students in Years 11 and 12.
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Philanthropy and Community Engagement to lead our Fundraising, Alumni Engagement, and Community Development initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to shape a vibrant culture of giving, strengthen relationships with stakeholders and advance the College’s mission and vision.
In this newly created position, you will actively engage all community stakeholders—Staff, Alumni, families, Donors, and volunteers—by cultivating an inclusive culture of philanthropy. In a small team, you will oversee the development and management of all aspects of the College’s Fundraising programs while building and sustaining positive community relationships.
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in communications, business, public relations (or a related field)
- Proven ability to build professional, cooperative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to influence, collaborate, and present to diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of philanthropy, community development and engagement as well as strategic planning experience to implement goals and actions to align with the College’s mission and values.
A Working with Children Check (employee) and willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check are essential. There is also an expectation to adhere to the College’s Child Safe Policy and practices.
