About The Role
We are currently seeking a permanent full time Digital Content and Communications Officer to deliver high-quality and engaging digital content for Ascham social media, websites, Electronic Direct Mail (EDMs), films, podcasts and publications. This is a pivotal role that helps elevate and celebrate our beautiful and historic School fostering a culture of belonging for all stakeholders across our community. What You Will Do

  • Design innovative communications content for promotional EDMs (including weekly newsletters), website assets, social media channels, events collateral, and in-house digital display communication
  • Deliver effective and targeted social media strategies and communication plans across a range of channels including Linkedln, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
  • Plan, write, create and load digital content; in line with brand identity, audience needs and user experience
  • Assist with the planning of the digital communications calendar around annual School activities and events
  • Manage all digital signage, and the School’s photo library platform
  • Provide regular digital analytics reports from campaign senders and social media.

What You Will Bring

  • Tertiary degree and / or demonstrated experience in media, visual or multimedia communications
  • Ability to create contemporary and user-centric content
  • Knowledge of social media management, web design principles, photography, videography, and editing
  • Ability to leverage AI tools such as Co-Pilot, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Experience using Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and Illustrator at an advanced level
  • Familiarity with editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, and in-app editing e.g. Instagram Story / Reels
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work proactively, autonomously, and meet deadlines
  • CPR Certificate and valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) – or willingness to obtain.
