The way I go about this is:
All photos from other staff go into the general SharePoint, and from there, I transfer them into my own drive. I go through and select the best images, delete the ones that aren’t suitable, and then rename them using a clear system — usually Year taken + Year Group + Activity or Year taken + Learning Area + Activity. I also save them in a couple of different sizes so they’re ready for different uses.
I prefer not to have people picking straight from the SharePoint folder, just so we don’t end up with inconsistent quality or images that don’t quite fit the purpose. If I get a request from a staffmember for some images, it usually only takes me about 20 minutes to make a good selection, and I think it’s worth that little bit of extra time to keep things consistent and professional.
