We previously used Mailchimp for Newsletters, but have switched to SendHQ. The parent database is updated each night and we send a ‘campaign’ which then links to the newsletter. The newsletter has been customised and split into sections for Whole School, Junior School and Senior School for ease of navigation. It is hosted on its own domain so you can update it at any time if there is a mistake, which was an issue if we created it in Maiclhimp once it had been sent you couldn’t edit anything. I think SendHQ costs us about $6k for a year for both of these functions, including the sync.

I do find Mailchimp easier to use for campaigns and to send to other lists (that aren’t parents) though.
