WA Chapter PD – The Brand Morning
A brand audit event for school, university and residential college marketing & communications professionals
You know that feeling – every department wants their own logo, the principal approves a banner in a font you’ve never seen, and the P&C redesigns the newsletter without asking. Sound familiar? You’re not alone.
Brand inconsistency in educational institutions is almost universal – and it rarely comes from people not caring. It comes from too many people caring, without a shared system to guide them.
Designed and facilitated by Of Note Design – a strategic branding studio with experience in brand identity, graphic design and communication for the education sector – this practical morning guides you through a comprehensive audit of your own institution’s brand, before equipping you with a toolkit for protecting and strengthening it from the inside out.
What the morning looks like:
Part One — We work through the 6 lenses of an educational institution brand: visual consistency, voice and tone, first impressions, brand infrastructure, audience alignment, and competitive landscape. As we go, you’ll audit your own school, university or residential college in real time.
Part Two — After a short break, you’ll map your findings into a prioritised action plan and leave with practical strategies for protecting your brand, managing competing opinions, and building systems that make consistency easy.
You’ll leave with:
- A completed brand audit specific to your school, university or residential college
- A prioritised action plan – your personal to-do list from the morning
- 5 practical tools you can start using the moment you’re back at your desk
This morning is for you if:
- You’re responsible for your school’s marketing, communications, or brand – formally or informally
- You’ve ever had a brand decision overruled by someone who “just has a preference”
- You know your brand could be more consistent but you’re not sure where to start
- You want practical tools, not just inspiration
Suited to marketing coordinators, communications managers, enrolment officers, and executive assistants working in school, university or residential colleges.
